WHAT IS DONWAY'S STRATEGY STATEMENT?

SHINING CHRIST'S LIGHT INTO THE DARKNESS

Christ - a light to the nations - the hope for those in darkness - and he invites us to follow him - to reflect his character, his activity, his priorities.

A Strategy Statement, consistent with Christ's priorities, has been developed at Donway to serve as a framework for goal setting, implementation and evaluation. The foundational and continual priority is Prayer. Then, as a Church family and as individuals, our strategy forShining Christ's Light Into The Darkness has five focuses:

Care

• Love others in encouraging, unconditional ways
• Serve the needs of the whole person

Celebrate

• Respond to God with joy and thanksgiving
• Gather for fun, festive social activities

Challenge

• Spur one another to grow as followers of Jesus
• Deal constructively with conflict that arises

Communicate

• Listen with empathy and understanding
• Share Christ's story and the reasons for our hope

Connect

• Welcome everyone warmly
• Develop friendships with our networks
